Basketball Recap: Thurgood Marshall Comes Up Short

Thurgood Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 65-20 defeat at the hands of the Middletown Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 789th, while the Eagles are ranked 359th).

Thurgood Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Middletown Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Thurgood Marshall Cougars duke it out with the Stivers School for the Arts Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Middletown Christian, they will face off against Ansonia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
