Basketball Recap: Huntingtown Comes Up Short

Huntingtown lost against St. Charles back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Huntingtown Hurricanes took a hard 50-34 fall against St. Charles. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Huntingtown lost, don't look at Conner Lawrence. Despite the final result, he posted ten points and six rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Charles to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Selby, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and seven boards. Selby has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cayden Thomas, who earned eight points and ten rebounds.

Huntingtown's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for St. Charles, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Huntingtown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-56 win against North Point on the 7th. As for St. Charles, they have also already played their next game, a 73-35 victory against Patuxent on the 7th.
