Basketball Recap: Jennings Comes Up Short

Jennings was the 90-0 winner over North Vermilion when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Jennings Bulldogs came up short against the North Vermilion Patriots on Thursday, falling 52-29. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Patriots are ranked 47th).

Jennings has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for North Vermilion, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jennings will venture away from home to take on Bell City at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for North Vermilion, they are taking a road trip to challenge Ville Platte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
