Volleyball Recap: Dunlap Finds Home Court Redemption Against East Peoria

There's no place like home for Dunlap, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the East Peoria Raiders on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won six in a row.

Dunlap never let East Peoria on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-11.

Caroline Holmes had an outrageously good game as she had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa Arnott, who had nine kills and seven digs.

Dunlap's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for East Peoria, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Dunlap will take on Galesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Peoria, they will square off against Grayslake North at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
