Basketball Recap: Asbury Park Takes a Loss

Asbury Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Ocean Township Spartans, falling 59-38. The Bishops lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 65-17 score last time.

Asbury Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Ocean Township, they moved to 3-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Asbury Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 78-40 defeat against Freehold Boro on the 23rd. As for Ocean Township, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-34 loss against Long Branch on the 23rd.
