Volleyball Recap: Midd-West Comes Up Short

Midd-West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Danville Ironmen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Midd-West started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-13.

Midd-West's record now sits at 3-9. As for Danville, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 12-4.

While Midd-West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
