Softball Recap: Crockett County Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Crockett County was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 8-1 to the Lawrence County Red Devils.

Crockett County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piper White, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Crockett County's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Lawrence County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 38-10-1 record this season.

Crockett County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Athens on the 18th. As for Lawrence County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 win against Wilson on the 19th.
