Volleyball Recap: Mount Horeb Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Mount Horeb waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the New Glarus Glarner Knights. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Glarner Knights, too.

While Mount Horeb might've won, it sure wasn't easy: New Glarus scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19.

Mount Horeb's offense was headlined by Finley Moore and Ella Kahl, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Laila Rasmussen and her 12 assists. Maya Newman controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Mount Horeb's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for New Glarus, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-14.

Mount Horeb didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Monona Grove on the 20th. As for New Glarus, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Cambridge on the 23rd.
