Soccer Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

After flying high against Boone County on Saturday, Holy Cross came back down to earth. The Indians lost 5-2 to the Beechwood Tigers on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for Holy Cross in their meetings with Beechwood: they've now lost nine in a row.

Ellie Tetzel and Ava Pennington scored both of Holy Cross' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Beechwood, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Holy Cross will square off against Campbell County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Beechwood, they will face off against Cooper at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
