Cedarcrest piles up the points against Marysville-Pilchuck

Recap: Cedarcrest Red Wolves vs. Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks

The Cedarcrest Red Wolves won the last time they faced the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Cedarcrest claimed a resounding 64-14 win over Marysville-Pilchuck on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Cedarcrest has managed all season.

Cedarcrest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Dicer led the charge by scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Mattison, who scored eight points along with six assists and four steals.

Cedarcrest's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.

Cedarcrest will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mountlake Terrace at 7:15 p.m. on January 2, 2024. After both having extra time off, Marysville-Pilchuck and Cascade will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
