Aubrey Rogers extends road losing streak to four

The Aubrey Rogers Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 75-49 loss at the hands of Lely. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Aubrey Rogers has suffered since December 14, 2023.

Despite the loss, Aubrey Rogers still got an impressive performance from Jackson Rose, who scored 15 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rose has scored all season. Thomas Zelek was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lely to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lovence Valcin, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Valcin posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Richard Obas, who scored 15 points along with three steals.

Aubrey Rogers dropped their record down to 4-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Lely, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aubrey Rogers will take on Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Barron Collier is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Lely, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Community School of Naples at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
