Volleyball Recap: West Field Takes a Loss

The West Field Longhorns lost 3-0 to the Fremont Silverwolves on Tuesday. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-11, 25-23.

Despite the loss, West Field saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jorie Schiffman had 21 digs and three assists. Those 21 digs set a new season-high mark for Schiffman.

Daphnie Moyes was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs and four assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in August.

West Field's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Fremont, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

West Field has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Box Elder on the 18th. As for Fremont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Roy on the 18th.
