Volleyball Recap: Danika Tiller Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win

Tigerton won the last time they faced Bowler and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 12, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Tigerton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

Tigerton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danika Tiller, who had ten assists and seven aces. Those seven aces gave Tiller a new career-high. Aaliyah Lederhaus was another key player, getting ten digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Tigerton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in four consecutive matches.

Tigerton's record is now 9-5. As for Bowler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tigerton will challenge Wild Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bowler, they will square off against Northland Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
