Recap: Neumann Celtics vs. Lemon Bay Manta Rays

The Neumann Celtics have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Lemon Bay 64-21 at home. With Neumann ahead 50-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Neumann got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sophia McCartney out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was McCartney's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Martin, who scored 23 points.

Neumann pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lemon Bay, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neumann won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Indian Hill at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. Indian Hill is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Lemon Bay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against First Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully First Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Tuesday.
