St. Patrick-St. Vincent had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 60-49 victory over the Pinole Valley Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Bruins: when they faced off against the Spartans back in January, they had to take a 57-51 loss.

Despite the defeat, Pinole Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore De'Ari Simmons went 7 of 13 en route to 18 points. Marcus Phillips also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent's record is now 10-12. As for Pinole Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinole Valley, they will challenge Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinole Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
