Softball Recap: Yellville-Summit Panthers vs. Bergman Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marshall, Yellville-Summit was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bergman Panthers a 16-0 shutout. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for Yellville-Summit this season.

Trinity Story was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Story was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.

In other batting news, Abby Methvin was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Spence, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2.

Yellville-Summit now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bergman, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
