Basketball Recap: Mt. Hebron Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

With a playoff win on the line, Mt. Hebron rose to the challenge on Monday. They managed a 31-25 victory over the Chesapeake Cougars. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 42-35 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Chesapeake saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kendall Kotofski posted eight points and 17 boards. Kotofski is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Mt. Hebron is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. Chesapeake's loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Mt. Hebron has already played their next game, a 56-35 defeat against Howard on the 5th. Chesapeake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
