Soccer Recap: Hayden Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Hayden had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Lawrence Free State Firebirds by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Hayden were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lawrence Free State apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Lawrence Free State now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Hayden challenge Lansing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lawrence Free State, they will face off against Shawnee Mission North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
