Football Recap: Tarpon Springs Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

With a playoff win on the line, Tarpon Springs rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Classical Prep Lions a 7-0 shutout. The Spongers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three contests.

Among those leading the charge was Lena Dancy, who picked up 30 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 45 yards. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in March.

Tarpon Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.7 points on average over those games. As for Classical Prep, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.
