Des Arc can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the England Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Cole Eldridge and Oakley Davenport were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Eldridge tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Davenport struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Eldridge has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season. At the plate, Eldridge scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Davenport scored a run while going 2-for-3. That run marked the first that Davenport scored this season.

In other batting news, Hudson Goodman and Walker Harris did most of the damage at the plate: Goodman scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Harris scored a run while going 2-for-3. Goodman also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season.

Des Arc always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Des Arc's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for England, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Des Arc will face off against Camden Fairview at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for England, they will head out to take on Barton at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
