Recap: Beaufort Academy Eagles vs. Hilton Head Prep Dolphins
If the Beaufort Academy Eagles were riding high off their 65-39 takedown of the Cross Schools Stingrays last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Beaufort Academy fell 53-40 to Hilton Head Prep on Friday. Beaufort Academy has not had much luck with Hilton Head Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Hilton Head Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Frey, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Moore, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Beaufort Academy bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Hilton Head Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Beaufort Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hilton Head Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Hilton Head Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hammond at 3:30 p.m. on December 16th.
