Soccer Recap: Sterling Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Sterling had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Sharpstown Apollos on Friday, falling 8-0. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The win made it two in a row for Sharpstown and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sterling will face off against Galena Park at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sharpstown, they will head out to challenge Milby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sharpstown is facing Milby at the right time seeing as Milby is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
