Basketball Recap: Zeigler-Royalton's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

If Agape Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Zeigler-Royalton, they should've done a better job of containing River Freeman. The Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes enjoyed a cozy 68-54 win over the Agape Christian Knights on Monday thanks in part to Freeman, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Zeigler-Royalton's points.

Another player making a difference was Brogan Mitchell, who posted four points in addition to five assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Zeigler-Royalton's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Agape Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Zeigler-Royalton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elverado at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Agape Christian, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Dongola at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
