Soccer Recap: Portal Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

The Portal Panthers never let the Montgomery County Eagles get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. It was an even better day for Colby Stewart as she scored six goals for her team.

The victory made it two in a row for Portal and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those two contests. As for Montgomery County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Portal face off against the Metter at 5:00 p.m. on February 25th. Portal is facing Metter at the right time seeing as Metter is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Montgomery County, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 9-0 win against Johnson County on the 21st.
