Basketball Recap: Dane Schlotzhauer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tipton over Climax Springs

Tipton was the 72-49 winner over Climax Springs when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tipton Cardinals lost 52-32 to the Climax Springs Cougars on Friday. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tipton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dane Schlotzhauer, who posted 11 points. William Cashman was another key player, putting up seven points.

Tipton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Climax Springs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Tipton will be playing in front of their home fans against Eugene at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eugene will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Tipton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Climax Springs, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Climax Springs Cougars challenge the Calvary Lutheran Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
