Baseball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield couldn't beat Pleasant Plains on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Senators fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 5-4. The Senators have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Wade Snyder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Pleasant Plains, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Springfield will take on Williamsville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Senators are facing the Bullets at the right time seeing as the Bullets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pleasant Plains, they will square off against Routt Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
