Cascade took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Mooresville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cadets skirted past the Pioneers 4-2. The win was nothing new for the Cadets as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Noah Dasgupta was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Dasgupta wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Delton Howrey, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. TJ Turner was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Cascade hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mooresville struck out eight times.

Cascade pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mooresville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.

Cascade has already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Owen Valley on the 21st. As for Mooresville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-9 win against Whiteland on the 21st.
