Basketball Game Preview: Rowlett Eagles vs. Sachse Mustangs

Rowlett is 2-8 against Sachse since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagles will host the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Rowlett slipped by North Garland 74-73. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sachse, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They skirted past Naaman Forest 56-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since December 6, 2025.

The victory got Rowlett back to even at 8-8. As for Sachse, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Rowlett couldn't quite finish off Sachse in their previous matchup back in February of 2025 and fell 53-51. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
