Augusta is a perfect 10-0 against El Dorado since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Orioles will host the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Augusta and six for El Dorado.

Augusta's last matchup with Collegiate could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Orioles came up short against the Spartans, falling 10-4.

Dalton Apel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Pocock, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for El Dorado's offense. They fell just short of Buhler by a score of 1-0 on Monday.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Augusta took their win against El Dorado in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Orioles repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
