Perrysburg came tearing into Saturday's game with 18 straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Avon Lake Shoremen.

Perrysburg not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Avon Lake between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21.

Leading Perrysburg to victory were Ethan Gray and Trevor Madigan. Gray had 11 digs, while Madigan had five digs and one block. That's the most digs Gray has posted since back in April of 2024.

Perrysburg pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Avon Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
