The Luther Prep Phoenix will challenge the Big Foot Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Luther Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Luther Prep is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cambridge just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bluejays by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Phoenix have suffered since May 5th.

Luther Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Schmidt, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Big Foot waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 15-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kate Hummel was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Stewart, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Leah Paulsen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Big Foot was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Luther Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Big Foot, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
