Baseball Game Preview: Clay County Bulldogs vs. Trousdale County Yellowjackets

Clay County hasn't had much luck against Trousdale County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Clay County Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Trousdale County Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clay County can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Friday. They came up short against Monterey, falling 14-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Clay County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Dailey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Kolton Brown was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Trousdale County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to Gordonsville.

Clay County suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Trousdale County when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Clay County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
