Baseball Recap: Ambassador Christian School Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Ambassador Christian School took on Calvary Day School on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2.

Ambassador Christian School saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rodney (RJ) Hancock, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Hancock's first of the season.

Ambassador Christian School has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Calvary Day School, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Coming up, Ambassador Christian School will take on Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Calvary Day School, they will square off against Burlington Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
