Baseball Game Preview: Upland Highlanders/Scots vs. Damien Spartans

For the second straight game, Upland will face off against Damien. The Highlanders/Scots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Upland has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight losses, while Damien will come in with three straight wins.

On Wednesday, Upland didn't have quite enough to beat Damien and fell 3-2.

Max Biddle was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Upland saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Darien Maung, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
