Baseball Recap: Clearview Takes a Loss

Clearview lost against Keystone back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clippers lost 14-1 to the Wildcats. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clearview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Rivera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Rivera is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Clearview's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Keystone, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearview will face off against Fairview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Clippers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Keystone, they will take on Norwayne at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
