Basketball Recap: Wisner-Pilger Comes Up Short

Wisner-Pilger fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against West Point-Beemer on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Point-Beemer Cadets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 47-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Allie Kaup, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards for West Point-Beemer. Kaup's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Campbell Snodgrass was another key player, going 5 for 12 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

Wisner-Pilger has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for West Point-Beemer, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Wisner-Pilger has already played their next contest (against Clarkson/Leigh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Point-Beemer has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Pierce.
