Football Game Preview: Peachtree Academy Panthers vs. Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS

The Peachtree Academy Panthers will face off against the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Peachtree Academy sitting on three straight wins and Trinity Christian School of Griffin on four.

Peachtree Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Covington Academy, posting a 53-18 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian School of Griffin never let their opponents score last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Holy Ground Baptist Academy 44-0. The result was nothing new for the LIONS, who have now won four contests by 25 points or more so far this season.

Peachtree Academy better keep an eye on Brayden Yancey. He was instrumental in Trinity Christian School of Griffin's win, picking up 124 receiving yards and two TDs. Yancey really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Trinity Christian School of Griffin's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Ashton Patrick: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Peachtree Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
