Basketball Recap: Annaliese De La Pena's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lutheran South Academy over CHSA Homeschool

Lutheran South Academy was the 55-39 winner over CHSA HomeSchool when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Lutheran South Academy Pioneers fell to the CHSA HomeSchool Wolverines 40-35. The Pioneers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Lutheran South Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Annaliese De La Pena, who posted 16 points. That was a full 45.7% of Lutheran South Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Natalie Browning, who put up eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals.
