Softball Recap: Turtle Lake/Clayton Comes Up Short

If Turtle Lake/Clayton was riding high fresh off their 24-15 takedown of Regis last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lakers lost 12-4 to the Grantsburg Pirates on Tuesday. The Lakers have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Turtle Lake/Clayton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grantsburg, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Grantsburg will head out to take on Webster/Siren at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Turtle Lake/Clayton will be paying especially close attention to the Pirates' game: after the Pirates faces off against Shell Lake, they'll take on Turtle Lake/Clayton again at 5:00 p.m. on May 8.
