Lakeside took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Berkmar Patriots 49-13. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Vikings just coasted through the last quarter.

Noah Lanford was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt, and also punched in one rushing score. Jayson Michel was Lanford's top target, picking up 61 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 34-27 defeat against St. Pius X Catholic on the 22nd. As for Berkmar, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 48-13 loss against Cedartown on the 22nd.
