Volleyball Recap: Hobart Falls to Valparaiso in First Game of Season

Hobart kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Valparaiso Vikings. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-9.

Hobart's offense was headlined by Alissa Hope and Cadence Costello, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Kalli Butcher and her seven assists.

Hobart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Portage on the 19th. As for Valparaiso, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Hammond Bishop Noll on the 20th.
