Volleyball Recap: Paramount Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North, Paramount was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors.

Paramount was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 26-24, 21-25, 25-21.

Paramount's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Paramount will head out to take on Savanna at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Savanna will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Paramount surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they will face off against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
