Recap: Parkview Vikings vs. Neosho Wildcats
The Parkview Vikings's 18-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They snuck past Neosho with a 57-52 victory. Parkview's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Brooklynn Masten, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Parkview's points. Austin Hall was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six assists and three steals.
Parkview's victory bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Neosho, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkview's road trip will continue as they head out to face Branson at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th. The timing is sure in Branson's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Parkview has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Neosho, they will face off against McDonald County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. McDonald County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Neosho likes a good challenge.
