Volleyball Recap: Adams Central's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Adams Central can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodlan Warriors on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Despite the loss, Adams Central still got an impressive performance from Brianna Pruitt, who had 17 digs and three aces. Lillie Liter was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

Adams Central moved to 14-17 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Woodlan, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Adams Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodlan, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against South Adams on the 18th.
