Matthew Yates posted a new career-high in runs on Friday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in five of his seven plate appearances. He has become a key player for Madisonville-North Hopkins: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Yates and Madisonville-North Hopkins will welcome Crittenden County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
