Baseball Recap: Christian Home Educators Fellowship Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Christian Home Educators Fellowship lost against Centreville Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Christian Home Educators Fellowship Patriots lost 14-8 to the Centreville Academy Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered against the Tigers since February 9, 2016.

Hank Pearce made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Babin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Christian Home Educators Fellowship kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post 11 or more hits.

Christian Home Educators Fellowship's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing nine hits in those games compared to only 5.29 in the others. As for Centreville Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Coming up, Christian Home Educators Fellowship will host Pontchartrain Christian HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Home Educators Fellowship is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Centreville Academy, they will take on West Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
