Basketball Recap: West Carteret Patriots vs. Havelock Rams

After flying high against Pamlico County last Wednesday, West Carteret came back down to earth. The West Carteret Patriots fell 72-63 to the Havelock Rams on Friday. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 20-14 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, West Carteret still got an impressive performance from Jay Murray, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 boards. Murray is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
