Baseball Recap: Bethesda Christian Comes Up Short

Bethesda Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Dunne Falcons.

Samuel Helm made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Matthew Benson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Bethesda Christian now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Bishop Dunne, their win bumped their record up to 5-11-1.

We've got a battle between Lions coming up. Nazarene Christian Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Bethesda Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop Dunne, they will challenge North Texas C at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
