There's no place like home for Brush, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wray Eagles on Saturday. The Beetdiggers were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Beetdiggers were just returning the favor.

Brush never let Wray on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-22.

Olivia Mertens paced Brush's offense, picking up 13 kills. Mertens were helped by Taryn Wickham and Brailey Rudnik, who contributed 12 assists each. Rudnik was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Wray lost, don't look at Jaycie Snapp. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and one assist. Snapp is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Brush's record is now 8-12. As for Wray, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Brush will head out to face off against Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wray, they will be playing at home against Akron at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
