Basketball Recap: Orangeburg Prep Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Orangeburg Prep extended their road winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Tilden Riley. The Orangeburg Prep Indians walked away with a 68-61 victory over the St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers on Monday thanks in part to Riley, who dropped a triple-double on 31 points, 12 boards, and ten blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Orangeburg Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for St. John's Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orangeburg Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Colleton Prep Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangeburg Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Colleton Prep Academy likes a good challenge. As for St. John's Christian Academy, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Clarendon Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John's Christian Academy is facing Clarendon Hall at the right time seeing as Clarendon Hall is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
